About The Event
Starting April, millions of Muslims around the world will commence on a month-long cycle of fasting, prayer and reflection that is Ramadan – the holiest month of the Islamic calendar. In observing the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, our Muslim brothers and sisters refrain from eating and drinking during daylight hours, devote time to prayer and to the giving of alms. Sundown is when they may finally break their fast with a meal called IFTAR.
Whether you are fasting or whether you are of a different faith, Ramadan is an opportunity to honor the universal values of love, giving and unity. So – wishing you all Ramadan Mubarak! May your prayers and fasts be accepted.
In celebration of Ramadan Shanti will be offering IFTAR BOX and GOAT HALEEM

SHANTI GOAT HALEEM
Haleem is a thick, savory porridge, made of cracked wheat, daal, goat and spices, cooked over several hours and pounded to a smooth consistency.
Haleem is most special to me as a dish that brings people together – it’s commonly eaten at religious occasions such as Ramadan
